Students will be able to:
• General
o Apply test-taking strategies specific to (online and paper-based) English proficiency exams.
o Study articles and prepositions and practice their usage.
• Reading o Read for comprehension of main ideas.
• Listening
o Listen for context clues to determine academic vocabulary.
o Identify the main idea or topic and major points in dialogues and academic lectures.
o Listen for details (key words and phrases).
• Speaking
o Engage in scripted dialogues and improvise answers to personal questions.
• Writing
o Review and practice English sentence structure and the basics of essay-style writing.
